One World, One Song is the story of an idea becoming a world.

The album begins before Kæthiar has even been named to the listener. Its first question is not where this world is, but what kind of relationship between people could make such a world possible. From there, the album gradually reveals Kæthiar through cooperation, nature, freedom, belonging, compassion, cultural plurality and connection. By the final track, Kæthiar is no longer simply being described to the listener. The listener is invited inside.

At the center of the album is a consistent principle: unity does not require uniformity. People can share equal worth without sharing the same history, language, culture, appearance or way of expressing themselves. Technology is not rejected, but it repeatedly moves into the background so that life, nature, presence and relationships can return to the foreground. Kæthiar is therefore not a retreat from civilization, but an imagined reordering of priorities.

Africa represents a shared human beginning. Kæthiar represents a shared possibility ahead. And between them are twelve songs asking whether people who remain different can nevertheless learn to live as though they belong to the same world.

The answer of One World, One Song is yes, but not by making everyone the same.
