About the song

The Moral Center

“Where the Heart is King (Love Above All)” is the emotional and moral center of the album. After Kæthiar has been introduced through movement, nature, freedom and belonging, this song reveals the principle that holds that world together: compassion, dignity and care are valued above wealth, power, fear and division.

“Love is the law and love is the crown” expresses this idea almost constitutionally. There is no literal king. The heart is “king” because empathy and human dignity become the first reference point for how people treat one another. The crown represents love rather than authority, and “Love Above All” does not mean abandoning reason, justice or responsibility. It means that compassion and care should stand above greed, domination and exclusion.

The line “We don't count the silver or the gold / We count the stories that are yet untold” offers another measure of value. Human worth is not calculated through wealth or possession, but through lives, experiences and possibilities that have not yet had the chance to unfold.

The image of rivers tracing “the lines of ancient grace” suggests that kindness, peace and compassion are not modern inventions. They feel older and more fundamental than many of the systems and divisions humanity has created around them. “Ancient” here carries a sense of something primordial and deeply familiar without tying Kæthiar to any particular religion or spiritual doctrine.

“No one walks alone” connects the song directly to “Welcome Home to My Home.” Track 6 says: you belong here. Track 7 explains why: in Kæthiar, no person is considered disposable or unworthy of care. Belonging is sustained by the values of the society itself.

Its slower, more reflective character gives these ideas space to settle. For a moment, the album stops celebrating what Kæthiar feels like and explains what makes that world possible in the first place. The song is therefore less a description of a place than a declaration of the values required to build it.

Kæthiar is not held together by power. It is held together by care.
