South Beach, Miami

A slow walk along the water

Kaethia_ in tortoiseshell sunglasses and a cream knit polo walks along a waterfront path, looking out to her right toward the water, with palms, boats and city towers behind her.
Walking the water's edge, a boat heading out behind me.

Along the channel edge she turned her head toward the boats, and I caught the half smile just as the wind lifted her hair. The path, the palms and the skyline stay soft behind her so the afternoon feels like hers.

Kaethia_ leans on a weathered wooden rail in profile, hands clasped, sunglasses on, gazing out over calm water in soft evening light.
Forearms on the rail, nowhere to be.

She stopped at the rail and let the water have her attention. I kept the weathered wood close and sharp against the soft harbour behind, so the stillness has something rough to rest on.

Kaethia_ sits on a bench with her hands resting on a small brown bag, sunglasses pushed into her hair, smiling and looking out toward the water under a cloudy sky.
Sunglasses pushed up, and a bench for the last bit of the walk.

She sat on the bench and let the bay pull her gaze away from me, a quiet smile arriving on its own. The grey sky gave an even light, and the city across the water stayed soft behind her.
