A long lunch outside, in no hurry at all. Cold glass, warm plate, people passing by. Everyone carries a light, and some afternoons I just sit and watch them go by.

Sunday is her day off, so I invited her to lunch at a small independent spot in South Beach, outside at a table with no hurry. This is an extra post between the Wednesday and Saturday ones, just a slow meal and a look around.

Four frames of one slow Sunday lunch on Española Way: the cold glass, the plate, the end of the meal, and a long look down the street. I stayed mostly at her eye height with the 50mm, wide open, so she and the table stay sharp while the street goes soft, and took one frame from across the tables with the longer lens. I chose Portra 400 for its gentle skin and warm light. The shade was bright and even, and I kept the poses different each time so the meal feels unhurried.
